Wow! I can't even believe how long it's been since I've had time to blog. But right now, everyone (except me, Caroline and Kai) is in NC for two and a half very very long weeks. It is extremely quiet and lonely here, especially at night. I really feel how far away Maui is from everywhere. But, I do have a little time to blog once Caroline and Kai are asleep. Problem is, I'm so far behind that I don't even know where to start. So, I guess I'll start with right now and work my way backwards through the missed months. Then I'll try to do better :-). For this blog, I will post pictures of Kai. He's changed the most over the past few months. He is now 14 months old. He has quite the personality.
He is very stubborn. He doesn't like food (he is our first non-chubby baby and is only in the 25th % in weight), except for chocolate fondue :-).
Love that chocolate fondue!!
He is a little monkey or should I say suicidal elf. He is constantly climbing up and over things. No fear. We have to very carefully block off the toy loft that Rob built because if he can squeeze past the barricade, he climbs up to the top all by himself. Up is not the problem. We are afraid he will kill himself trying to get down. He is a very funny little guy. He also loves music, especially the song that Jairin has performed a couple of times -- "Soul Sister." If we even start humming the music, "Hey ey. Hey ey ey ey ey............," he immediately stops what he is doing and starts to sway and bounce. He even tries to sing the "Hey ey" part. He doesn't say anything intelligible yet, but he thinks he can carry on an entire conversation. The problem is, he uses his own little language of garbldy-gook. He will look right into your eyes and babble off a complete paragraph of nothing and think that you understood every word. Very funny.
I love my swing.
Havin' a shower.
My favorite sleeping position.
